DIAGNOSIS The Aeitto uses a simple foam filter cartridge, not a complex replaceable filter. It traps sediment but needs regular cleaning.

FIX Unplug and empty the unit. The filter is a black foam cylinder inside the water reservoir, usually near the pump intake. Remove it. Rinse it under warm water while squeezing it until the water runs clear. Soak it in a mix of warm water and white vinegar for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly again before reinstalling.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If taste persists, scale is in the water lines. Run a full cleaning cycle with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water through the machine's normal operation, then run several cycles of clean water to flush.

HEADS UP That foam filter degrades over time. If it's falling apart or stays slimy after cleaning, you need a new one. Contact Aeitto for the part.
