DIAGNOSIS The unit isn't getting cold enough during the freeze cycle. The most common cause is ambient temperature. These machines need a room between 50°F and 90°F to work right.
FIX Move the ice maker away from heat sources like ovens, dishwashers, or direct sunlight. Ensure at least 4 inches of clearance on all sides for ventilation. Run it in a cooler room.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The refrigerant charge might be low from the factory. If the compressor runs constantly but the evaporator plate never gets properly frosty, it's a sealed system issue.
HEADS UP Don't try to use it in a garage if temps drop at night. Condensation can freeze inside and damage the water pump.
