DIAGNOSIS The unit is in a protective delay. Many portable ice makers have a 3-minute compressor delay after being unplugged or if the bin is full.
FIX First, check the ice basket. Ensure it's fully seated and that the basket sensor (a small lever or button inside the bin area) isn't stuck down. If the basket is empty, simply wait 3-5 minutes. The compressor should kick on and the cycle begin.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The control board might have a failed relay for the compressor. Listen closely after pressing start. If you hear a faint click but no hum/vibration, the compressor isn't getting power. This points to board failure.
HEADS UP Never bypass the basket sensor to force operation. Overfilling can jam the auger and burn out the motor.
