Filter replacement frequency depends on use. For average homes, the pre-motor filter needs checking monthly; the HEPA filter every 3-6 months.
Maintenance schedule:
- Empty dust cup after every use.
- Check and clean pre-motor filter monthly. Tap out debris. Rinse with cold water if washable. Dry 24 hours fully before reinstalling.
- Check and clean HEPA filter every 3 months. Same cleaning procedure: tap or rinse, dry completely.
- Replace HEPA filter every 6-12 months, or when cleaning no longer restores performance.
If performance drops: If suction is weak or the vacuum overheats/shuts off, clean all filters immediately, even if not on schedule.
Heads up: Never run the vacuum with wet filters or without filters installed. This will damage the motor.
