DIAGNOSIS The setup process is failing during the Wi-Fi handshake. The Opal 2.0 only connects to 2.4 GHz networks. It cannot see or join 5 GHz bands.
FIX Confirm your phone is on the 2.4 GHz band of your network. Disable any 'smart connect' features on your router that automatically band-steer devices. During setup, have your phone and Opal within 10 feet of the router. Follow the app prompts precisely: hold ICE SIZE + LIGHT for 3 seconds to put Opal in pairing mode.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The control board's Wi-Fi module may need a reset. Unplug Opal. Wait 60 seconds. Plug in. Immediately press and hold the CLEAN and ICE SIZE buttons together for 10 seconds. Release. The Wi-Fi module is now factory reset. Attempt setup again.
HEADS UP The machine does not support WPA3 enterprise or networks requiring a secondary login portal (like hotels or dorms). It requires a standard WPA2 home network.
