DIAGNOSIS Low production is typically an ambient temperature issue. The Opal 2.0 production rate is rated for a room temperature of 70°F. Output drops significantly as room temperature rises.
FIX Verify the room temperature. If above 75°F, relocate the unit to a cooler area. Ensure the rear condenser coil has 5+ inches of clearance and is free of dust. The machine needs adequate airflow to reject heat. Production will normalize in proper conditions.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The water pump may be failing or the water filter (if installed) is clogged. Bypass or replace the water filter. Listen for the distinct click and hum of the water pump during a cycle. If absent, the pump is not injecting water into the freezing cylinder.
HEADS UP The published '24 lb per day' output is under ideal lab conditions. Real-world output in a 80°F kitchen can be less than half that. This is normal operation, not a defect.
