DIAGNOSIS Interrupted combustion leading to flameout. The primary cause is poor-quality or damp pellets creating excessive ash that smothers the fire.
FIX First, perform a full vacuum of the firepot and the entire bottom of the cook chamber. Then, discard all current pellets. Source brand-name, 100% hardwood pellets with low dust content. Ensure pellets are stored in a sealed, dry container. Restart the grill with the new fuel.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the drip tray alignment. If it is not seated perfectly over the firepot, it can disrupt airflow and cause flameouts. Ensure it is centered and flat.
HEADS UP Flameouts create a dangerous pellet overfeed situation. The grill must complete a full shutdown cycle if a flameout occurs. Never attempt to relight manually or bypass the safety check.
