What you're seeing are not structural cracks in the metal basket itself. They are localized chips or scratches in the non-stick coating. This typically occurs when the basket is inserted into the drawer at an angle, causing a corner or edge of the basket to scrape forcefully against the interior wall of the pan, abrading the coating in that specific spot.
How to Fix It
While the existing chips cannot be repaired, you can prevent further damage with proper handling. Always insert and remove the basket straight in and out, ensuring it is level. Avoid twisting or tilting it during insertion. For cleaning, use only soft sponges or brushes; never use abrasive scouring pads, steel wool, or harsh chemical cleaners that can degrade the coating further. Hand washing is recommended over the dishwasher.
If That Didn't Work
If the damage is extensive, with large flakes or the underlying aluminum becoming broadly exposed, you should replace the basket for optimal cooking performance and food release. Contact Philips customer support to order a genuine replacement basket (part number is often on the underside of the basket). Using a third-party or damaged basket can affect air circulation and cooking results.

The coating materials are food-safe, and incidental, tiny flakes are not a health hazard if ingested. However, continued use with significant damage can lead to more sticking and harder cleaning.
