Diagnosis
This is a question about proper power-down procedure to prevent electrical arcing at the plug and to ensure the appliance's internal components shut down correctly. Simply yanking the plug while the Bella Slim Air Fryer is still in an active or standby state can cause a small electrical surge.
How to Fix It
Follow this specific shutdown sequence every time:
- When cooking is complete, first turn the timer control knob all the way counter-clockwise until it clicks to the "OFF" position. This powers down the heating element and fan.
- Leave the air fryer plugged in and allow it to go through its built-in cool-down cycle for at least 30 minutes. The fan may continue to run to vent residual heat.
- Only after the unit is completely cool and silent should you then grasp the plug (not the cord) and unplug it from the wall outlet.
If That Didn't Work
If you've already unplugged the unit while it was active and now it's not functioning, try a full reset: ensure it's turned to OFF, plug it back in, and then attempt to turn the timer knob to a cooking setting. If it remains unresponsive, the internal fuse or circuitry may have been compromised by the improper disconnection.
