DIAGNOSIS Water is likely overflowing from the internal condensate pan because the primary drain path is blocked, or the unit is tilted forward.
FIX Clear the main drain channel and re-level the unit.
- Unplug the unit and pull it away from the wall.
- Check that the lower rubber drain plug on the back is inserted fully and securely. A loose plug is the #1 cause.
- Remove the plug and use a small funnel and some warm water to gently flush the drain outlet backwards to clear any algae or sludge blockage.
- Use a level on top of the unit. Adjust the front casters (they screw up/down) so the unit is perfectly level or tilted VERY slightly BACK towards the drain port.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The internal drain pan or tubing might be cracked or disconnected. This requires disassembly. Before going there, ensure you're not seeing condensation forming on the cold exhaust hose and dripping—insulate the hose with a towel if needed.
HEADS UP In high humidity, this unit produces a lot of water. For peace of mind, always use the continuous drain option. Connect a hose to the UPPER drain port on the back and run it to a floor drain or bucket.
