DIAGNOSIS The refrigerant circuit isn't engaging. The most common cause is an installation issue with the exhaust hose, creating a vacuum that trips a safety sensor.
FIX Check the window vent kit and hose for a proper, airtight seal.
- Ensure the adjustable window panel is securely fitted to your window frame with no large gaps. Use the foam seals provided.
- Check both ends of the exhaust hose. It must click and lock fully onto the unit's vent port and the window panel's adapter.
- Make sure the hose itself isn't kinked or severely bent, which restricts airflow.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The unit may have lost refrigerant due to a leak, which requires professional service. Before assuming that, let the unit sit powered OFF for an hour. Sometimes the internal compressor overload protector needs to reset after an overheat.
HEADS UP This unit is dual-hose. For proper cooling, BOTH hoses (intake and exhaust) must be connected to the window kit. Running with only the exhaust hose connected cripples performance and can cause the no-cool symptom.
