DIAGNOSIS The control board is not registering your button presses, likely due to a stuck or faulty button membrane on the control panel, or a temporary electronic glitch.

FIX Perform a hard reset and clean the controls.

  • Unplug the unit from the wall outlet for 5 full minutes. This resets the main control board.
  • While unplugged, press and hold the power button on the unit's panel for 10 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Wipe the entire control panel area with a slightly damp cloth, then dry it, to clean any sticky residue off the buttons.
  • Plug the unit back in and try changing the fan speed using the buttons on the UNIT itself, not the remote.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The fan speed button on the control panel itself may be physically damaged. If the remote can still change fan speeds, the issue is the unit's button. You would need to replace the control panel assembly.

HEADS UP In some modes, like 'DRY' (dehumidify), the fan speed is automatically controlled by the unit and may not respond to manual changes. Test in regular 'COOL' mode.
