DIAGNOSIS Performance is degraded by high inlet water temperature, high ambient room temperature, or low voltage.
FIX Use cold water from the fridge in the reservoir, not room temp tap water. Move the machine to a cooler location, away from heat sources. Ensure it's plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip or extension cord.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The thermoelectric cooling module might be failing. After a cycle, feel the back panel. It should be very hot to the touch (heat exhaust). If it's only warm, the module is underperforming.
HEADS UP The 6-minute claim is under ideal lab conditions: 70°F room temp and 50°F water. Real-world times are always longer. If it's exceeding 25 minutes per batch with cold water in a cool room, the cooler is failing.
