DIAGNOSIS Complete power failure points to the unit's internal fuse or a disconnect in the main power supply path.
FIX Unplug the unit. Locate the fuse access panel on the back or side of the chassis. Remove the fuse holder. Inspect the 5-amp, 250-volt glass fuse. If the filament is broken, replace it with an identical 5A/250V fuse. Plug the unit back in.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The power cord or the internal wiring connection at the control board has failed. This requires disassembly and a multimeter to test for continuity. Contact Black+Decker support for authorized repair.
HEADS UP Using an extension cord or a heavily loaded power strip can cause a voltage drop that may blow the internal fuse. Always plug the unit directly into a wall outlet rated for 115V/15A.
