DIAGNOSIS The infrared (IR) receiver window on the unit's control panel is obstructed or the remote's signal is weak. This is a common IR line-of-sight issue.
FIX Ensure nothing is blocking the small, dark IR receiver window on the front of the unit. Clean the window with a dry cloth. Point the remote directly at this window from a distance of less than 15 feet. Remove any protective film that may be over the display.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Strong ambient light, particularly from LED or fluorescent bulbs, can flood the IR receiver. Try operating the remote in a darker room or turn off nearby bright lights.
HEADS UP The remote uses a 3V CR2025 battery. Ensure the battery contacts in the remote are not corroded. All functions are also available manually on the unit's control panel.
