How to Fix It
Follow this signal path checklist. 1. Press the monitor's physical menu button. 2. Navigate to 'Input Source' using the down button. 3. Select 'HDMI 1' or 'HDMI 2', matching the port your cable uses. 4. On your laptop, initiate a manual display output. For Windows, press Windows Key + P and select 'Duplicate' or 'Second screen only'. 5. Ensure the HDMI cable is fully seated at both the monitor and laptop ends.
If That Didn't Work
The specific HDMI port on the monitor may be defective. Test the other HDMI port on the monitor with the same cable and laptop. If it works, the first port is faulty. If neither works, test the cable with another device to rule it out.
Heads Up
Some laptops require a reboot to recognize a new external display on initial connection. Power cycle your laptop with the monitor connected and powered on.
