Diagnosis
The parent unit's processor is locking up, usually due to a weak or inconsistent signal from the camera causing a communication crash.
How to Fix It
Improve the wireless signal strength. Move the parent unit closer to the nursery. Ensure the camera's antenna is fully extended (if your model has a physical one). Change the channel to avoid interference. On the parent unit, go to Menu > Settings > Channel and manually select a different channel (like 1, 2, or 3). This is the most effective fix for random freezes. Also, make sure the parent unit's firmware is up to date by checking the Babysense website with your model number.
If That Didn't Work
The parent unit itself might be overheating or have a memory fault. Feel if it's hot, especially if it's sitting on the charger constantly. Take it off the charger for a while. Perform a factory reset on the parent unit (usually Menu > Settings > Reset). Note: This will erase your camera pairings, so you'll have to re-pair afterwards.
Heads Up
Freezing is often worse when the battery is low. Keep the parent unit charged above 50% if you're relying on it for a critical monitoring session.
