Diagnosis
The infrared (IR) LEDs for night vision are either dirty, blocked, or there's too much ambient light confusing the sensor. The V43's IR LEDs are those little dark circles around the camera lens.
How to Fix It
First, power off the camera and gently wipe the entire lens area and those dark IR LED covers with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Even invisible fingerprints can scatter the IR light. Next, check the room. Is there any tiny light source like a power strip LED, a nightlight, or light under the door? The camera might be stuck between day and night mode. Try to make the room completely dark. Also, ensure the camera's 'Auto' mode for IR is selected in the parent unit menu.
If That Didn't Work
The camera might be overheating, which degrades the image sensor at night. Feel the back of the camera unit. If it's very hot to the touch, try moving it to a location with better air circulation, away from drapes or stuffed animals.
Heads Up
The V43's night vision isn't 4K cinema quality to begin with—it's standard definition. Expect a functional black-and-white image, not a crystal-clear one. If it looks like salt-and-pepper TV static, that's a hardware fault.
