DIAGNOSIS The water level sensor is either stuck or the float is obstructed. This is common with mineral deposits or if the float got misaligned during cleaning.
FIX Unplug the unit. Remove the water reservoir. Check the white plastic float on the side of the inner tank. Manually move it up and down its track. Feel for grit. Clean the float and its track with white vinegar and a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly. Reassemble and plug in.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The sensor contacts inside the base might be corroded. After unplugging and emptying, tip the unit over. Look for two metal pins where the reservoir sits. Clean them gently with a cotton swab and vinegar.
HEADS UP Never use chemical descalers not listed as safe for ice makers. They can damage the float sensor plastic and leave residues in your ice.
