DIAGNOSIS The microSD card is either not formatted correctly for the camera, is a counterfeit card, or has exceeded its write cycles.
FIX First, format the card inside the camera. In the Reolink app, go to Device Settings > Storage > SD Card. Tap 'Format'. Use only high-endurance microSD cards, Class 10 or above, from reputable brands like Samsung, SanDisk, or Kingston. Capacity should be 32GB to 128GB.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The SD card slot pins may be bent or dirty. Power off the camera and remove the battery. Inspect the SD card slot with a flashlight for debris. Use compressed air to blow it out gently. Do not insert metal tools.
HEADS UP Continuous recording wears out SD cards quickly. Expect to replace a standard card every 6-12 months. Use 'Event Recording' instead of 'Continuous Recording' in Storage Settings to extend card life.
