why is the motion detection on my argus 3 pro so bad? it misses people and records cars across the street.

DIAGNOSIS The default detection zone and sensitivity settings are too broad. The camera is triggering on all pixel changes, not just human shapes.

FIX In the app, go to Detection Alarm > Motion Detection. First, draw a precise 'Detection Zone' over only the area you care about, like your walkway. Exclude the street. Then, set 'Detection Sensitivity' to a lower level, like 40. Finally, enable 'Person Detection' and 'Vehicle Detection' to filter alerts.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The camera's firmware may be outdated. Check for updates in Device Settings > Device Information > Firmware Version. Update if available. Old firmware has less accurate AI detection.

HEADS UP Mounting angle affects detection. For best person detection, mount the camera 7-9 feet high, angled slightly downward. A flat, head-on view reduces the AI's ability to recognize human form.
