Yeah, this one's common and usually not a fire hazard. White smoke or steam is normal, especially during the first few uses or when cooking greasy foods. The oil collects under the crisper plate and heats up.
The fix is about cleanliness and handling. First, make sure the basket and the inside of the air fryer are clean and not greasy. Cooking greasy foods will cause this, and the basket will be hotter than usual—handle it with care.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If you see dark smoke, that's different. Unplug the air fryer immediately. Dark smoke means food is burning or there's a circuit problem. Wait for the smoke to clear before pulling the basket out. If the food isn't burnt, you need to contact Customer Support.
