DIAGNOSIS Some heat is normal—the motor and electronics need cooling. Excessive heat usually means prolonged use at high speed or blocked vents.
FIX Ensure the blender is on a hard, flat surface with at least 3 inches of clear space around the vented sides and back. Don't run any program or max speed for more than 2 minutes continuously. Let it cool for 5 minutes between heavy cycles.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If it gets hot during short, simple tasks, the motor might be failing internally. Contact support.
HEADS UP The 'Soup' program runs for several minutes and will make the base quite warm. That's expected. Use the included pitcher handle to pour.
