Diagnosis
The PF code indicates a power failure event was detected by the control board. The display blanking is a known software quirk after the code is logged.
How to Fix It
Clear the logged code. Press the "Power Freeze" and "Light" buttons on the display panel simultaneously for 3 seconds. The PF code will clear. If the display remains blank, press the "Display" button to wake it.
If That Didn't Work
The issue may be a weak control board backup battery. Unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes to perform a hard reset. This resets the main control and can clear persistent codes.
Heads Up
The PF code is informational only. It does not indicate a current fault. If you are not experiencing an actual power outage, the code was likely triggered by a brief voltage dip from your home's electrical supply.
