Diagnosis
The water filter is clogged or has reached the end of its 6-month service life. This is the primary restrictor in the system.
How to Fix It
Replace the water filter. Twist the old filter (located in the upper right of the fresh food compartment) counterclockwise to remove. Insert the new filter (Model # MWF or XWFE) and twist clockwise until it clicks. Flush 2 gallons of water through the dispenser to clear air.
If That Didn't Work
The water inlet valve screen may be clogged with sediment. This requires shutting off the household water supply, disconnecting the inlet line at the valve, and cleaning the small internal screen with a soft brush.
Heads Up
Never run the dispenser without a filter installed unless the bypass plug is in place. Low water pressure can also trigger the system's low-flow protection, causing an automatic shutoff.
