my greenworks 40v lawn mower won't start at all, just makes a clicking noise. what's wrong?

The battery pack isn't seated correctly or the safety start switch is disengaged.

FIX

1. Make sure the battery pack is fully inserted into the mower deck. You should hear a click.
2. Check the Safety Start Switch. You must hold down the switch on the upper handle while pulling the bail lever.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK

The battery is discharged or faulty. Charge the battery using the 40V charger for at least 30 minutes. If it still won't hold a charge, the battery may need replacement.

HEADS UP

Never operate the mower without the grass bag, mulch plug, or side discharge chute properly installed. This is a safety interlock.
