A grinding noise is almost always debris wrapped around the brushes or a problem with the front caster wheel. Power off the robot and flip it over.
- Check the Multi-Surface Brushes: Pinch the brush frame release tabs, lift, and remove the brushes. Remove any hair or debris wrapped around the ends and from the square and hexagonal pegs on the opposite side. Reinstall, matching the brush peg shapes to the icons in the cleaning head module.
- Check the Edge-Sweeping Brush: Use a small screwdriver to loosen the screw holding it in place. Pull to remove the brush, clear any hair or debris, and reinstall it.
- Check the Front Caster Wheel: Pull firmly on the front wheel module to remove it, then pull the wheel out of its housing. Remove any hair or debris from the axle and the cavity. Reinstall, ensuring it clicks back into place and spins freely.
If that didn't work: Remove the bin and check the vacuum path inside the robot for any large obstructions like a pebble or a twist-tie that might be caught in the fan.
Heads up: A front wheel clogged with hair and debris that isn't spinning freely can damage your floor. If cleaning doesn't stop the noise, contact Customer Care.
