Water leakage from the base indicates a failed internal seal or a cracked water reservoir.
- Unplug the unit immediately and empty all water.
- Inspect the water reservoir for hairline cracks, especially near the fill area or where it connects to the base.
- Check the silicone gasket where the reservoir meets the heating chamber. It should be intact and pliable.
If that didn't work, the issue is internal. The heating tube or water inlet valve may have a compromised seal.
Heads up: Do not operate a leaking coffeemaker. Water contacting electrical components poses a severe shock and fire hazard. This typically requires professional repair or unit replacement.
