DIAGNOSIS The base is not receiving power. The most common cause for a new unit is a connection issue in the assembly or a safety lock not being engaged.
FIX Follow this checklist. One: Ensure the blender base is plugged directly into a wall outlet. Two: Place a cup onto the base and rotate it clockwise until it clicks and locks into place. The locking tabs on the cup must fully engage with the base. Three: Press the cup down firmly while you press the power button. The unit will not operate unless the cup is correctly locked.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the power cord connection where it enters the base. Ensure it is fully seated. If the unit was purchased as part of a set, try a different 16oz cup to rule out a defective cup/lid assembly preventing the lock.
HEADS UP The base has no power switch or indicator light. The only sign of life is the motor running when the button is pressed with a properly locked cup. Do not attempt to operate it without a cup locked in place.
