my ninja twisti duo is really hard to twist and unlock, i feel like i'm going to break the handle.

DIAGNOSIS Excessive friction in the twist-to-lock mechanism. This is often caused by food debris in the locking track or misalignment.

FIX 1. Unplug the unit. 2. Remove the pitcher from the base. 3. Inspect the silver locking ring on the motor base and the corresponding locking lugs on the pitcher base. 4. Clean both areas thoroughly with a damp cloth. Remove any hardened food residue. 5. Apply a tiny, tiny amount of food-grade lubricant (like mineral oil) to the locking ring on the motor base. Wipe off any excess.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The pitcher base may be warped or the locking lugs damaged. Try attaching the pitcher base to the pitcher itself again, ensuring it clicks securely. A warped component will not rotate smoothly and may require replacement.

HEADS UP Never force the twist mechanism. If it does not rotate with moderate pressure, disassemble and clean. Forcing it can break the plastic lugs on the pitcher base, rendering it unusable.
