Diagnosis
Misaligned door hinges or worn/dirty latch mechanisms. Over time, the door can sag, or grease buildup affects the closing action.
How to Fix It
Clean and lubricate the door latch mechanism.
1. Open the door fully and look at the latch hooks on the oven frame and the corresponding slots on the door.
2. Wipe away any visible grease or debris with a damp cloth.
3. Apply a small amount of food-safe lubricant (like graphite powder) to the moving parts of the latch, not the oven interior.
If That Didn't Work
The door hinges need adjustment. This model allows for some door alignment. Loosen the screws on the inner door panel that secure the hinge arms, reposition the door for a better close, and retighten.
Heads Up
Do not use silicone or oil-based lubricants—they attract more grime and can smoke. If the door is severely misaligned, it can affect the oven's seal and temperature accuracy.
