Diagnosis
The door lock motor or latch assembly is not signaling the main control that the door is properly locked. The cycle won't start without this signal.
How to Fix It
Unplug range. Remove inner door panel to access latch mechanism. Manually operate the lock mechanism. Check for obstructions or broken plastic parts. Ensure the lock switch actuator moves freely. Replace the door latch assembly if damaged. Part number is often W11185796.
If That Didn't Work
The door lock switch itself may be faulty. Test continuity of the switch in locked/unlocked positions.
Heads Up
Never bypass the door lock. Oven reaches extreme temperatures during self-clean. A door opening could cause a fire.
