my powerxl air fryer combo keeps shutting off mid-cycle, why?

— asked by Kevin

This is usually an overload or overheating issue. First, check if you're overfilling the inner pot. Never fill it more than two-thirds capacity. Food expands during cooking and can trigger safety cut-offs.

Second, ensure the appliance is on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface with proper ventilation. Do not operate it in an enclosed space or under low-hanging cabinets. Blocked vents cause overheating.

If that didn't work, unplug the unit and let it cool for at least 30 minutes. An internal overheating protection system may have activated. After it cools, try a smaller food batch.

Heads up: Plug the unit directly into a dedicated 120V wall outlet. Plugging other appliances into the same outlet can cause the circuit to overload and the unit to shut down.
