my shark lift away keeps tipping over backwards when i’m using the hose. it’s really annoying.

DIAGNOSIS The vacuum is top-heavy. This happens when the dust cup is full or the filters are wet, adding weight up high.

FIX First, empty the dust cup. Ensure both the foam and felt filters are completely dry. Dry filters are lighter. When using the hose, extend the vacuum’s handle fully to lower its center of gravity.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the rear wheels. They should spin freely. If they’re bound up with hair or debris, the vacuum can’t roll back slightly to counterbalance, causing a tip-over.

HEADS UP Do not store the vacuum with wet filters. The added weight can stress the plastic latches on the dust cup over time.
