DIAGNOSIS The controller has detected a fault in the startup sequence. The most common cause is a failed or obstructed ignition cycle.
FIX Power the grill off. Remove the grates, heat baffle, and drip tray. Vacuum all pellets from the firepot. Confirm the firepot is clear of ash and obstructions. Power the grill back on and initiate a startup cycle. The error should clear if the ignition was the issue.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The ERR code can also indicate a failed RTD (temperature probe). Check the probe connection at the back of the grill. Ensure it is fully seated in its port. A damaged or disconnected probe will cause this fault.
HEADS UP Do not attempt to bypass the error. The grill will not operate safely until the underlying fault is resolved. Persistent ERR after cleaning indicates a component failure requiring support.
