DIAGNOSIS The grill is failing to achieve set temperature due to insufficient airflow or a temperature sensing error. A dirty RTD probe is the primary suspect.
FIX Locate the RTD probe inside the cook chamber, mounted on the left side. Let the grill cool completely. Gently remove the probe and clean it with a soft brass brush or fine-grit sandpaper. Remove all carbon buildup. Reinstall securely.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Verify the combustion fan is operating. Listen for a distinct hum during operation. A silent fan means a failed motor or blocked intake. Check the fan inlet on the back of the unit for debris.
HEADS UP A clean probe is critical for accurate temperature control. Do not use abrasive steel wool or chemicals. A coating of soot as thin as a dime can cause a 100+ degree reading error.
