my tv makes a faint clicking sound every few minutes, it's not the speakers, it's coming from the back of the panel.

DIAGNOSIS This is normal. It's the sound of the plastic housing and metal components expanding and contracting with heat changes from the OLED panel, a process called thermal cycling.

FIX There is no fix, as it's not a malfunction. You can only try to minimize it.
- Ensure the TV has plenty of ventilation behind it (at least 4 inches).
- Avoid placing it near a heat vent or in direct sunlight.
- Lower the panel brightness in your picture settings, which reduces heat output.
- The clicks are usually most frequent in the first 15-30 minutes after turning the TV on and as it cools down after being turned off.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the click is a loud, singular *pop* or is accompanied by a burning smell or the TV turning off, that is not normal. Power down, unplug, and contact Samsung support immediately.

HEADS UP This clicking is more noticeable in very quiet rooms. It's a common trait with thin, large-screen OLEDs due to their construction and the heat management required. It does not indicate a problem with the panel's lifespan or performance.
