DIAGNOSIS The onboard storage is clogged with cached data from apps and the operating system, a common issue with Smart TVs over time.
FIX Don't do a full reset yet. First, clear the system cache.
- Go to Settings > Support > Device Care.
- Select Manage Storage and see which apps are using the most space. Delete any you don't use.
- Go back and select Memory Boost to clear temporary files.
- Next, go to Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving and turn off Autorun Last App.
- Finally, perform a soft reset: hold the power button on your remote until the TV turns off and the Samsung logo reappears (about 10 seconds).
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK You can try a full reset: Settings > General & Privacy > Reset > Enter PIN (default 0000). This will erase all your accounts and settings, so it's a last resort. Before this, ensure your TV's software is up to date in the Support menu.
HEADS UP A full reset will log you out of all apps. Have your streaming service passwords handy for re-login. Also, avoid filling the TV with too many installed apps; use the ones built-in or only install essentials.
