DIAGNOSIS The TV's energy-saving features or incorrect HDR tone mapping settings are aggressively dimming the image to prevent burn-in, which can overcompensate.
FIX Go to Settings > Picture.
- Select the picture mode you're using (like Game Mode or Filmmaker Mode).
- Scroll down to Brightness and turn off Auto Brightness Limit and Contrast Enhancer.
- Go to Advanced Settings > Peak Brightness and set it to High.
- In the same menu, set HDR Tone Mapping to Static (not Active) for a consistent, brighter HDR level.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Ensure you're using the correct HDMI port (HDMI 2, 3, or 4) with a certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cable, and that the input icon is set to 'Game' or 'Console' to enable full bandwidth. Check the source device's HDR output settings.
HEADS UP Using Static HDR Tone Mapping and Peak Brightness on High increases the risk of temporary image retention and long-term burn-in. Use these settings judiciously and let the pixel refresher run when the TV is in standby.
