DIAGNOSIS A high-pitched noise when tilting usually indicates an airflow issue at a joint or seal, not a motor problem. Air is being forced through a small gap.
FIX Check and reseat all connections.
- Turn off the vacuum.
- Detach the wand from the main body, then detach the cleaner head or tool from the wand.
- Inspect the red seals (O-rings) on each connection point for damage, debris, or misalignment.
- Wipe the seals and connection points clean.
- Reconnect each piece, ensuring a firm, straight push until you hear a definitive click. The noise should stop.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The whistling might be coming from the cleaner head itself if the brush bar is obstructed or its housing is damaged. Remove the cleaner head, clear any debris from around the brush bar, and inspect the plastic housing for cracks. Run the vacuum without any head attached to see if the noise is gone.
HEADS UP If the noise becomes a grinding or rattling sound, stop use immediately. That indicates a mechanical failure in the motor or brush bar, and continuing can cause further damage.
