DIAGNOSIS: The motor has overheated and triggered its thermal protection, or the unit isn't getting power.
FIX: First, verify power. Ensure the cord is plugged into a grounded outlet, not a GFCI that's tripped. Check the On/Off switch is in the On (I) position. If it still won't start, the motor likely overheated. Unplug the blender and let it cool for 20-45 minutes. After cooling, plug it back in and try.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Inspect the cord and plug for damage. If the blender was dropped or damaged, do not use it. Contact Vitamix Customer Service at 1-800-848-2649.
HEADS UP: Never power this blender through an external timer or switched circuit. It can cause a hazardous reset of the thermal cut-out.
