DIAGNOSIS: This is usually caused by the container not being seated correctly or a foreign object left inside.
FIX: Here's what to check, step by step.
- Turn the blender off and unplug it.
- Remove the container from the base. Check the drive socket on the base and the drive spline on the container for damage.
- Make sure the container's centering pad is flush with the base's drive socket. The drive spline must be fully engaged.
- Look inside the container. Ensure no spoons, forks, the lid plug, or other objects are near the blades.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Inspect the blade assembly for damage. Never operate with damaged blades or with the centering pad removed. If you see damage, stop use and contact Vitamix Customer Service.
HEADS UP: Always operate with the lid and lid plug firmly locked in place. Never remove the 2-part lid while the blades are rotating.
