Diagnosis
The blade assembly bearing seal has failed. This is usually due to wear, damage, or abrasive ingredients wearing down the seal over time.
How to Fix It
The blade assembly is not repairable. You must replace the entire container. Contact Vitamix for warranty service if applicable.
If That Didn't Work
If a brand-new container leaks, check the container gasket on the lid. A damaged or misaligned lid gasket can cause pressure to build and force liquid past the bottom seal during a hot blend.
Heads Up
Do not use a leaking container. Liquid entering the base can cause an electrical short or motor failure. This is a critical safety issue.
