Locate the sensor door on the right side of the unit. Use a small flat-head screwdriver or your fingernail to gently pop open the plastic sensor cover. Identify the sensor opening. You will see a small rectangular aperture. Do not stick anything metal or sharp into this hole. Use a can of compressed air (duster). Hold the can upright to avoid spraying liquid propellant. Insert the straw as close to the opening as possible and deliver 3-4 short, sharp bursts of air. This clears the dust from the laser path. Take a dry, lint-free cotton swab. Gently wipe the outer rim of the sensor opening to remove any clinging debris. Close the sensor cover until it clicks firmly back into place. Plug the unit back in. Power it on and set the fan to "Auto" mode. Let it run for 10-15 minutes to calibrate the baseline air quality of the room. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check for Filter Saturation: If your Green HEPA filter is completely clogged (grey/black), the airflow across the sensor is restricted. Never spray cleaning chemicals or air fresheners directly toward the unit, as the oils can coat the sensor lens and cause permanent "red light" failure. If the light remains red after cleaning and filter replacement, the laser diode may have burnt out, requiring a full sensor module replacement.
