Diagnosis
The lid is not properly angled for drainage. The Dyna-Glo DGN576SNC-D lid has a subtle crown, but if the grill is not level, water will pool.
How to Fix It
Check the level of the entire grill cart. Use a carpenter's level on the lid's front edge. Adjust the cart's wheels or leg levelers so the grill tilts very slightly toward the front. This creates a runoff path away from the control panel.
If That Didn't Work
The lid itself may have a slight manufacturing depression. While cool, place a small, unobtrusive shim (like a washer) under the rear hinge mount to increase the forward pitch of the lid.
Heads Up
Standing water accelerates rust, especially around the lid's rim and hinge. Always use a fitted grill cover when not in use for extended periods.
