roomba 694 battery dies super fast, only runs for like 10 minutes. is the battery bad?

— asked by Jordan

First, ensure it is fully charged. A partial charge will cause short run times.

  1. Place Roomba on the Home Base. The indicator lights turn off after 60 seconds to conserve energy.
  2. Press the CLEAN button to illuminate the Battery Indicator. Amber means charging; solid green means fully charged.
  3. For a first-time charge, or after long storage, allow 3 hours on the Home Base for a full charge.

If that didn't work, check the battery compartment for damage or leakage. Do not charge a damaged or leaking battery. For long-term storage, the battery must be removed from the robot.

For replacement, use only the specified rechargeable battery. Contact iRobot Customer Care for the correct 14.8V battery option. Do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
