sceptre 24 inch monitor looks blurry and unstable, text is hard to read, how do i fix this?

— asked by Jamie

The most likely fix is setting the correct native resolution and running the auto-adjust.

  • Set the native resolution: On your computer, right-click the desktop and go to Display Settings. Set the resolution to 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz. This is the monitor's optimal setting.
  • Run Auto Adjust: Press the menu button on your monitor, navigate to the picture settings, and select AUTO ADJUST. This stabilizes and clarifies the display.
  • Enable/Disable ClearType: If text is still blurry, try toggling the ClearType function in your Windows display settings. This can sharpen text rendering.

If that didn't work: Check your video cable. A loose or corrupt VGA or HDMI cable can cause blurriness and instability. Re-seat it firmly at both ends or try a different cable.

Heads up: Never use a resolution higher than 1920 x 1080, as the monitor can't display it properly and will show "Signal Out of Range."
