shark navigator lift away pro nv356e keeps losing suction, i just emptied the canister

First, check the filters. Clogged filters are the most common cause of suction loss.

  • Remove and clean the pre-motor filter. Rinse it with cold water only and let it air dry for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.
  • Check the post-motor HEPA filter. This model uses HEPA filtration. It may need replacement if it's heavily soiled.
  • Inspect the hose and wand for blockages. Detach the hose from the lift-away canister and look through it.

If that didn't work, the brushroll might be jammed. Turn the unit off and over. Manually rotate the brushroll to check for hair or string wrapped around it. Clear any obstructions.

Heads up: Regular filter maintenance is required. Expect to replace filters sooner with heavy use.
