DIAGNOSIS: F01 is a generic "control communication failure" error on these models. It means the main control board (the brain) isn't getting a proper signal from the user interface (the touchpad).
FIX: First, try a hard reset. Unplug the dryer from the wall outlet for 2 full minutes, then plug it back in. This often clears a temporary glitch. If the error returns immediately, the connection between the two boards is likely compromised.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The flat ribbon cable that connects the control panel to the main board can come loose or get damaged. Accessing it requires removing the top panel, but checking that connection is the next step before replacing any expensive boards.
HEADS UP: F01 errors are notoriously tricky. If the hard reset doesn't fix it, it often points to a failed main control board, which is the most expensive part. Diagnose carefully before ordering one.
