Diagnosis
F 01 is a door lock fault. The dryer can't confirm the door is properly locked, so it won't run.
How to Fix It
Unplug the dryer. Check the door latch and strike plate for debris or damage. Manually close the door. Listen for a distinct click. If the latch feels weak, the door lock assembly (part # 300754) is likely bad. Replace it.
If That Didn't Work
The wiring harness to the lock assembly can get pinched or damaged. Unplug the dryer, remove the top panel, and inspect the small harness connecting the lock to the main control board.
Heads Up
Do not bypass the door lock. The dryer will not heat or run. It's a critical safety interlock.
